ITP's 2015/16 season launched with the Midwest premiere of Katrina: Mother-In-Law of 'em All, marking the tenth anniversary of the deadly hurricane that struck the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Set in the famous Mother-in-Law Lounge, it follows six individuals as they recount their true, harrowing and yet somehow hopeful stories about surviving one of the worst disasters in U.S. history. Both humorous and poignant – this piece reaches beyond New Orleans, beyond Hurricane Katrina, and taps into our primordial need to survive even under the worst of conditions. Directed by Louisiana native and Co-Artistic Director, Georgette Verdin.

"Katrina provides a feel-good docudrama with vivid characters and a welcoming and ultimately hopeful spirit worth the price of admission. RECOMMENDED!" - Chicago Critic

"Georgette Verdin's production for Interrobang Theatre uniquely highlights the unsung neighborly gestures that saved countless lives, and ultimately the culture of New Orleans itself." - Chicago Reader

"With its blend of humor and horror, Katrina: Mother-in-Law of 'em All is certainly a strong way for Interrobang to kick off its sixth season." - Windy City Times
