By Jen Silverman
Directed by Georgette Verdin

Constantinople has been dead for two days, but that's the least of his worries. He has to find his mother before it's too late, and his already stiff body shuts down for good. As he searches an unfamiliar world filled with women he doesn't understand, his mother, Morgan must learn to grieve the son she never knew.

Jen Silverman's work has been produced off-Broadway by the Playwrights Realm (Crane Story), by Clubbed Thumb (Phoebe in Winter), Actor’s Theatre of Louisville (The Roommate, Wondrous Strange), Yale Repertory Theatre (The Moors) and InterAct Theatre in Philadelphia (The Dangerous House of Pretty Mbane). She has developed plays as workshop-productions at the Cherry Lane Mentor Project (The Hunters), Juilliard (Wild Blue and Still) and Playwrights Horizons Theatre School (That Poor Girl and How He Killed Her). This is the play's midwest premier.

"Interrobang has always had a strong ensemble, and these four actors are no exception. Nerber faces a huge challenge, playing a baby who will never age or progress, and his Constantinople is both sympathetic and utterly memorable. As mother Morgan, Elyce aptly showcases the wide range of thoughts and feelings of an intelligent woman who never thought she’d be a mother, then wanted nothing more, only to have her dreams dashed at the last possible moment. Gise’s Dolores is perfectly rough around the edges, but she never goes into Goth cliché." -- Chicago Theater Beat
